Angle of sands

The 4th largest desert in the world,  Badain Jaran is home to the tallest stationery dunes on earth, some reach a height of 500 meters, some local nickname it the Everest of the deserts.
My trip to Inner Mongolia is planed around the Badain Jaran Desert, around and across it, the area possesses some of the most striking views on earth. The desert also features over 100 spring-fed lakes that lie between the dunes, some fresh, some extremely saline, which gave the desert its name Badain Jaran, means mysterious lakes in Mongolian.
