Fall in Ejina Qi, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia

Each October is the time when the world turn gold and red in Ejina Qi, Inner Mongolia.  Located in Alxa Leaque, Inner Mongolia, Ejina Qi has one of the three extensive poplar woods in the world.   Some said it well, “Without going to Ejina Qi, you will not know mighty of the oasis; without going to Ejina Qi, you will not know the magic of poplar trees.”
And here we are!

Yinchuan, China

A former capital of the mysterious Western Xia Empire of the Tangut, today’s Yinchuan is a typical Chinese city – lots of new construction and many new immigrants.  It is also the capital of the Ningxia Hui (Muslims) Autonomous Region with population reaching 1.3 million.
Yinchuan is also the hub for the travelers to explore the Inner Mongolia, the purpose of my visit in my recent Inner Mongolia Expedition.
This image taken in the late afternoon, the desert city is quietly entering into early evening.
