Patterns

This is an image of the roof of the ramp of the main entrance at the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza, Kathmandu, Nepal.  I spotted when I was bidding good bye to some fellow travel companions who would return on an ealrier flight back to Lharsa, then Chengdu, China.  My flight is 2 hours later so I was able to see them go, and a short period of enjoy this last moment of trip along.
I saw this interesting pattern, pick up the Panasonic GF-1 mounted with 20/1.7 lens which for most of the time in my trip in my hand, to quickly snap this picture.

Checkers

Elaine, shot with Canon 1Ds III with EF Macro 180/3.5L, bron-color light.  The use of longer telephone lens here is to compresse the dimension to give the final image a look of motif, of graphical interests, initionally to reduce the true objects dimension.

Red Door

This is an area where I would probably drive by several times a week. It is just about few hundred meters from my studio, a small soi connects to the main road. It did not catch my attention until one afternoon I discovered that the old metal door was put on a new paint, and a sunny day cast the shadows of all the electrical cables hang high above the street, quickly I snap this picture from the car, yes, I did stop for a few seconds.  Image made with a Panasonic GF-1 camera, and 20/1.7 lens.

Bludeck

A snap shot of the swimming pool of the new hybrid sports club - Bludeck, by Ananda. Captured with a Panasonic GF-1 mounted with 20/1.7 lens, during a location scout.
The graphical image is a section of the swimming pool, with the small waves stirred by the breeze, nice bright sun light, the rich color tiles of the pool itself, result this nice image.

Head Turner

The background is a studio set up, to create the atmospheric feel of a room, although I balance the light in a way the familiar amber tone is tuned down, because I tried to make it a little washed out on the highlight area so the visual attention will be more on the model - actually the scarf covering her, which in this case, I placed her a little off the center, to balance the larger white out area.  A bron-color Pulso head fitted with a large softbox set up on a super-boom on top of the model to reduce the light created from outside the window, which I use additional 2 pulso light with barn-door to simulate the harsh day light, defused by a translucent curtain, 2 other light on the left-hand side of the set up, to reduce the contrast of the image.  A little complicate set up for this otherwise easy shot.
Captured with Phase One P65+ on Hasselblad H2, HC 100/2.2.

Jeans

Perhaps the most accepted universal apparel for all sex, also the most wearable. This image, took very recently, with a Phase One P65+ on Hassemblad H camera, HC 100/2.2, resulted an amazingly detailed picture, and of course, also thanks to the lovely Russian model, Katya Nuzhdova.
The approach of the image is rather simple, to protrait the simple cut, tight jean on a lovely frame of body, that is all needed.
